Cocobolo: Brown to
orange/brown. Varies widely...some is very wild!
African
Olivewood: Tan with darker
brown streaks. Very hard and smooth.
Tulipwood:
Tan beige with vivid scarlet markings.
Rosewood:
Various types, as available.
Bloodwood: The name says
it all. Vivid, dramatic red coloring.
African
Blackwood: Pitch black.
Cookstown Ironwood: Honey
brown, smooth grained Australian timber.
Purpleheart:
Really! A medium to dark
purple.
Mopane: Warm brown with
darker graining. Extremely hard, dense wood.
Tambootie: A hard, tan
brown wood with subtle graining.
Bubinga: Pinkish to reddish
brown smooth grained wood.
I can also
make whistles from wood supplied by the customer. Wood for a good whistle
needs to be very hard with a fine, smooth grain. If you have any special
